Description
This was done for a good natured challenge between the UK and Seattle. It's 'Britannia' in a sort of Georgian vignette kind of pose. I keep tweaking it, so maybe I'll stop now.

the muscular structure is incredibly detailed. I absolutely love the colors and the mood they create. Her expression is very fitting - proud and confident.

Nice work though.

posting here, after having lurked for so long, and it's lovely to get such
positive feedback. The high heels! Lol! I like high heels!
It was drawn in Photoshop 6, from a rough pencil sketch. The BG is meant to
look painty, as the idea is she is standing in front of a backdrop, as on a stage in keeping with the Georgian vignette idea. I should have extended the shadows to make this more obvious, but the lighting is all over the place anyway! Looks as though I still haven't finished tweaking after all!
Again, thanks!

Which brings me to the plastic-ness of this...the anatomy is very very good, but everything looks so plastic! The helmet's not bad though. Also imo the lighting on her left foot can be knocked back a little, looks too "forward" as it is now. There are some other little things like the lightest flying hair strands looking unnnatural and wobbly straight edges (pitchfork & pillar), but those are minor.

I expected a bit more rough texture, especially in the column. Nice pic nonetheless, the character looks great. Good anatomy and a strong pose... she seems to actually have some weight. Good job!

'knocking-back', and perhaps I overdid the 'healthy sheen' a little, but all
my straight-line work is hand - 'drawn' without the use of fiendish
trickery, hence the slight wobble on occasion. Deadlines are great for dicipline,
but sometimes you wish you had a little longer just to tweak some more!
Thankyou!
